The West Chicago Public Library District

Oral History Project

This year marks the 20th anniversary in our current building, located at 118 West Washington Street.  As part of our celebration, the Library’s History Committee, appointed by Administrative Librarian Melody E. Coleman, has undertaken an oral history project to record and share reminiscences of library service in West Chicago.

In anticipation of the unveiling of the completed project, scheduled for December 2013, we hope you will enjoy this preview of their work and gratefully acknowledge the District residents who graciously shared their stories.
