The Friends of the Library accept donations of gently used books year-round.  The Friends group also welcomes new members and volunteers.  Information about donations and Friends membership forms can be found at the Library Circulation desk.

Who are the Friends of the Library?

The Friends of the Library is a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the West Chicago Library! How do we do that?

  • March Book Sale
  • Spring Egg Roll 
  • Support Summer Reading Programs for Youth, Teens and Adults, including the amazing finale party
  • Rack at the Track
  • Ongoing lobby book sale
  • Special library purchases

Show support for your library by joining the Friends of the Library!
The yearly membership fee is only $5; membership forms can be found at
the circulation desk.

Friends of the Library members meet the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Library Study Room September through May (Not including December). All are welcome!
